A small ritual can completely change how a space feels

The Candle Ritual

A well-made candle deserves a thoughtful burn. With a few simple rituals, your candle will burn beautifully and last longer — creating a cleaner, more intentional experience in your home.

Let the first burn set the tone

Your candle has a memory. When lighting it for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the vessel. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even, beautiful burn every time after.

Trim before each burn

Before lighting, trim the wick to ¼”. This helps reduce smoke and soot while keeping the flame soft, steady, and clean.

Extinguish gently

Blow softly or use a snuffer to extinguish the flame. This helps preserve the scent and keeps the wax surface smooth.

Burn thoughtfully

Never leave a candle unattended, and always keep it away from curtains, children, pets, and anything flammable. Place your candle on a protected surface and allow it to cool before relighting.

Clean, intentional ingredients

Each Culture of Good candle is made with a coconut and soy wax blend that is 100% plant-based and free from herbicides, pesticides, petroleum, animal, or insect by-products.

Because what you burn in your home should feel as good as it smells.
